Here are some more patterns:
They include two dresses and three kind of swimwear. And here are some photos of the bikini sewing process, hope it helps 🙂 Any questions just write me a comment. (scroll down to see the bikinis and the dresses)
I fold the fabric in two and draw the pattern on.
Then sew the side with my sewing machine and cut it out.
Turn it inside out… I use this lace for the loops for the beads. So I sew them by hand on one side and then fold and sew the top front and back sides of the bikini. It’s also a good idea to iron it but I’m lazy and I did at the very end before the las photo ;P
It looks like this…
I try it on and mark where I should sew the other side, the one without beads.
Then sew them together and put the beads on the other side…for this one I need only two beads.
So this is what it looks like, two beads and two loops, and they are small and perfect for a bikini 🙂
And that’s it! Now the top part:
The top part for the bikini: It’s a rectangular 2x5cm, I’ll be folding it in half (you can see the central line there) and cut it out leaving some margin. (I drew it using the paper piece from the dress pattern XD)
Sew the lace on the side (2 loops again), I fold the fabric in so the edges don’t show.
And sew the lower part by hand, it’s so small I find it easier and faster than to use a machine.
Try it on and decide where to fold and sew the other side so it would be a perfect fit.
Then add 2 beads on the other side of it…
Then I try it on and that’s what it looks like, I sew it in the center so it looks like on the picture in the corner 🙂
Another version of the bikini bottom, it’s on the pattern sheet in the middle.
And the swimsuit. (I tried to make it with a lace instead of beads and it takes ages to put it on or take it off XD)
Another option for the bikini: a loop made out of cord lace and a button.
On the pattern sheet also appear the patterns for these two dresses:
